Turning a living room into a glam rock editorial

The shoot grew from my friend Spike's (the model) love of glam rock, he just loves the way that people got sick of the beige aura of the 50s in Britain so just wanted to have some fun instead. After the pandemic I’ve been totally drained of creativity, and at a time that I’ve been looking to develop a career in photography I’ve not had chance to meet anyone who’s interested in the stuff I am as a creative. I’d been in a bit of a creatively beige period and wanted to break out by just making something, so we worked together to do a homemade, self-styled, zero-budget editorial series about glamming up the mundane in a maximalist way. In doing so I reminded myself that I can just go and create, and use restrictions of circumstance as a way to amplify my creativity.
